About the Job
The Senior Data Strategist will combine advanced analytical expertise with strategic insight to help shape and drive the data vision across some of the largest and preeminent healthcare organizations and health systems in the region. This role is responsible for both defining the Healthcare Clients' data strategy and implementing actionable insights to improve business outcomes. The individual will work at the intersection of data science, business intelligence, and strategy, transforming data into a key asset for decision-making, innovation, and competitive advantage.
Responsibilities
- Data Strategy Development: Collaborate with leadership to define and implement the organization’s data strategy, aligning it with broader business objectives. Identify data opportunities, develop roadmaps, and outline key initiatives that can leverage data for business growth. Establish best practices for data governance, quality, and security.
- Advanced Analytics and Data Science: Design and implement advanced machine learning models and algorithms to address business problems. Lead the development of predictive and prescriptive analytics to optimize processes, enhance decision-making, and create competitive advantages. Conduct exploratory data analysis and build robust statistical models, ensuring findings translate into actionable insights.
- Stakeholder Collaboration and Business Impact: Partner with various departments (e.g., marketing, product, operations) to understand their needs and implement data-driven solutions. Translate complex data results into clear and actionable recommendations for both technical and non-technical audiences. Drive data democratization across the organization by promoting data literacy and ensuring accessibility to data insights.
- Data Infrastructure and Tools: Work with engineering teams to ensure the development of scalable data pipelines, data warehouses, and data lakes that support business analytics. Stay updated on emerging tools, technologies, and methodologies to continuously improve the organization’s data capabilities. Ensure the right data architecture is in place to support data analytics and strategy initiatives.
- Leadership and Mentorship: Lead and mentor a team of data scientists and analysts, providing guidance on best practices, technical approaches, and career development. Build a high-performance team capable of driving innovation and growth through data. Champion a data-first mindset within the organization.
Qualifications
- Education: Master’s or Ph.D. in Data Science, Computer Science, Statistics, Mathematics, or a related field.
- Experience: 7+ years of experience in data science, analytics, or strategy roles, with proven experience leading strategic data initiatives. Proven track record of building and deploying machine learning models and AI solutions that deliver business value. Experience in developing and implementing a data strategy at an enterprise level.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in programming languages such as Python, R, and SQL. Experience with big data technologies (e.g., Hadoop, Spark) and cloud platforms (OCI, AWS, GCP, Azure). Expertise in machine learning, AI, predictive modeling, and statistical analysis. Familiarity with data visualization tools such as SAS, Tableau, Power BI, or Looker.
- Soft Skills: Strong business acumen with the ability to translate data into strategic insights. Excellent communication, presentation, and storytelling skills. Leadership experience with a focus on team development and cross-functional collaboration.
