Position

Parsons is looking for an amazingly talented Reporting Engineer to join our team! In this role, you will develop, implement, and maintain cost control as well as provide planning/scheduling functions on one or more larger projects. The Reporting Engineer/Specialist at this level is a fully qualified professional with solid experience, technical expertise, and familiarity with company policies and procedures to complete complicated tasks independently.

Job Description:

  • Present data provided by others into a Power BI program, maintaining the Power BI database, and analyzing data prior to production.
  • Provide guidance and specialized assistance for the resolution of difficult project control problems.
  • Analyze, evaluate, and forecast current status against an established baseline schedule.
  • Assess the impact(s) of design or construction changes and schedule slippages.
  • Report status of the schedule to appropriate project and company management as well as to the client.
  • Understand and apply engineering, procurement, and construction terminology, concepts, and relationships.
  • Develop and maintain critical path logic networks and bar charts utilizing this information.
  • Customize project control systems to meet specific project requirements.
  • Accumulate historical data, such as performance experience, for future planning and forecasting.
  • May supervise and provide performance reviews for one or more lower-level Project Control Engineer/Specialists and/or support personnel.
  • Provide input to Sr. Project Control Staff regarding staffing requirements.
  • Perform other responsibilities associated with this position as may be appropriate.

Required Skills:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or related field (or equivalent experience) with typically 5+ years of related work experience.
  • Requires basic engineering knowledge in electrical, mechanical, civil, or a related field.
  • Proficient in various Project Controls software and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Self-sufficient, highly motivated, team player, and ability to meet deadlines.
