About the Job
Presight is seeking a meticulous and expert Engineer - Site Reliability to build and support the delivery model that empowers product and technology teams in developing and delivering high-quality products, improving platform infrastructure, and strengthening the reliability of products and solutions. In this role, you will play a key part in defining and establishing the delivery model for cutting-edge, next-generation analytics solutions and services at Presight.
Responsibilities
As an Engineer – Site Reliability, your key responsibilities will include:
- Driving scope definition, specification, and architecture for all services in the CI/CD pipeline that power Presight's delivery model.
- Fostering a positive SRE culture that promotes frequent releases, high automation levels (Ansible, Terraform, Helm), and software reliability (Monitoring Tools).
- Leading and troubleshooting high-priority incidents impacting the organization, providing timely support to resolve critical incidents for Linux-based systems.
- Identifying application patterns and analytics to support better service level objectives while promoting self-service and resiliency patterns.
- Reviewing and modifying CI/CD principles and iterating service maturity for continuous improvement.
- Collaborating with internal teams to propose, architect, and implement innovative solutions.
- Championing SRE approaches to predict and prevent disruptive events, thereby enhancing solution availability.
- Designing and enabling automated change, release, and upgrade management practices across existing products and solutions.
- Ensuring compliance with IT governance controls, standards, and practices.
- Improving service availability and scalability through tuning, automation, tools, and processes.
- Analyzing service performance, identifying bottlenecks, and providing measurable improvement plans.
- Serving as the primary point of contact for customers, developing trusted advisor relationships by understanding their business needs and technical challenges.
- Complying with QHSE (Quality Health Safety and Environment) and related policies and procedures.
- Traveling to international client locations as required.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Analytics, Data Science, Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
- Minimum 3-4 years of experience in DevOps Operations and deployment.
- Hands-on experience with Public Cloud (Azure), Linux, Kubernetes, and Python.
- Experience with Private Cloud technologies (OpenStack, OpenShift).
- Proficiency in automation tools (Ansible, Terraform, Helm).
- Familiarity with CI/CD tools and DevOps processes.
- Knowledge of big data technologies such as Elasticsearch, OpenSearch, and Hadoop Cluster deployment.
- At least 3 years of architectural experience and understanding of distributed systems and cloud infrastructure.
- Shell and Python scripting experience.
- Willingness to undertake extensive international business travel as required.
