Pure Storage is seeking a Technical Data Architect to cover customers in the Gulf Region, specifically in Saudi Arabia. You will have a thorough understanding of the architecture, design, and implementations of data migration solutions to assist in delivering large scale and complex migration projects. You will also be skilled in scripting to enable automation of migration processes where appropriate.
Key Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with customers, Sales Teams, Engineering, and Pure partners to understand technical needs related to specific markets or products (i.e., block, virtualized, or file share migration solutions).
- Support the implementation of professional services solutions in a post-sales consultative role.
- Provide technical consultation and education to the Sales team regarding new data migration solutions.
- Participate in customer evaluations and proof of concepts for deploying test data migrations onto Pure systems.
- Advise on engineering developments and strategies for data migration solutions.
- Plan, conduct, and direct projects to support sales efforts and address future customer needs.
- Evaluate partner proposals for migration services to ensure they deliver quality and value for money.
- Develop scripts for integration of Pure storage into customer operational environments and to automate migration processes.
Job Requirements:
- Experience with technical solutions for supporting data center migrations/consolidations.
- Familiarity with the Cirrus Data Solutions Appliance or appliance-based solutions for migrating block data.
- Knowledge of virtualization tools (Cisco/Microsoft/VMWare), cloud solution migrations, and scripting languages (e.g., Perl, Shell, PowerShell, Visual Basic, Python).
- Understanding of networking infrastructure, security/firewalls, and data center migration implementations for block and file share data.
- Experience with various operating systems (Windows, AIX, Linux), virtualization platforms (Hyper-V, VMWare), middleware, and applications.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
Language Requirements:
English proficiency is required for communication and documentation purposes.
