About the Job
In collaboration with engineering, game, and level design teams, the Senior Technical Designer will contribute to the design, prototyping, and implementation of various gameplay systems and solutions for AAA games. This role involves working closely with the technical team to organize a proper data structure within the engine, taking ownership of and validating game/level design data integration while adjusting and polishing as necessary. The Senior Technical Designer will serve as the primary point of contact for design-related questions and issues concerning engine possibilities and limits. This individual will play a vital role in ensuring consistency and optimization within the engine/tech/design team for effective debugging.
Furthermore, the Senior Technical Designer will create technical requirements based on the design team’s needs, supervising the production of game design tools. Participation in all planning sessions for the project, especially those that involve introducing new features or systems, is essential.
Requirements
- Deep knowledge of Unreal Engine (UE) or Unity and other common game engines is a must.
- Experience with 3D level/game design tools and editors.
- Solid experience in scripting and/or programming languages.
- Proven experience in working with large data sets, along with the ability to integrate and manipulate data effectively.
- A strong passion for gaming and excellent communication skills.
- Proficiency in English (both verbal and written).
