About the Job
Steer Studios is seeking an Economy Designer who has a passion for various game genres and storytelling. In this role, you will work closely with game teams to create game designs, prototypes, and mechanics, ensuring high-quality execution in the final product.
Your Responsibilities:
- Design and balance the game economy for our games.
- Create simulations and models to test, balance, and optimize game economies, considering target audiences and various player profiles, while updating them in line with emerging best practices.
- Generate detailed balance sheets, charts, and reports to analyze and enhance the game economy.
- Analyze player data against simulations to identify improvement areas.
- Understand game KPIs to optimize balance.
- Collaborate with the development team for seamless integration of economy systems and features.
- Stay informed about industry trends, market research, and the competitive landscape to identify opportunities for improvement.
Qualifications:
- 3+ years of experience in economy design for mobile games, with at least one game released on the market.
- Strong understanding of the free-to-play (F2P) market.
- Ability to create, balance, and optimize complex economic simulations.
- Advanced proficiency in Excel, along with a solid background in mathematics and statistics.
- Understanding of player psychology and behavior.
- Strong communication skills in English.
- Passion for video games.
