About the Job
The Technology Innovation Institute (TII) is a pioneering global research center based in Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates. As the Lead Android Developer, you will play a pivotal role in the Android platform development team, overseeing the development of secure and innovative Android applications while adhering to high security and performance standards. This position is crucial in our endeavor to build and commercialize proprietary post-quantum protocols and applications to secure enterprise digital spaces.
Key Responsibilities:
- Leadership: Define and enforce coding standards, best practices, and development processes within the team while collaborating with other team leads to ensure alignment across projects.
- Android Development: Design and develop secure and high-performance Android applications. Implement advanced security measures and protocols to protect user data and privacy. Drive the adoption of cutting-edge technologies and frameworks to enhance application development.
- Collaboration: Work closely with UX/UI designers, backend developers, and other stakeholders to deliver high-quality applications. Foster a collaborative and innovative team culture that promotes knowledge sharing and continuous learning.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.
- Minimum of 8 years of extensive experience in Android development, with at least 2 years in a leadership role.
- Proficiency in Kotlin, and native development languages such as C and C++.
- Strong understanding of Android principles, security fundamentals, and mobile application architecture.
- Excellent leadership and communication skills, with the ability to inspire and motivate team members.
