Thales is seeking an IT Specialist with a focus on presales and project delivery. In this role, you will play a critical part in supporting the sales process by designing tailored IT solutions and overseeing the successful implementation of projects. Your responsibilities will bridge technical expertise with business acumen to deliver value-driven solutions for clients, requiring travel whenever necessary, including to high-risk countries.

Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with the sales team to understand client requirements and propose suitable IT solutions.
- Prepare and deliver technical presentations, demos, and Proof of Concepts (PoCs).
- Develop detailed solution designs, including architecture diagrams, bill of materials (BoM), and cost estimates.
- Assist in proposals, RFP responses, and technical documentation.
- Oversee IT project scope lifecycles from initiation to completion.
- Serve as the technical lead for deployment and configuration of solutions, ensuring alignment with client requirements.
- Coordinate with cross-functional teams, including network engineers, developers, and third-party vendors.
- Stay updated on industry trends, emerging technologies, and competitive solutions to effectively advise clients.
- Support the operations team with IT requirements arising from customer requests.
- Provide training and knowledge transfer to clients and internal teams.
Requirements:
- Proficiency in Windows and Linux operating systems.
- Strong knowledge of networking (TCP/IP, VLANs, VPNs, DHCP, DNS).
- Extensive knowledge of servers, storage, and backup technologies.
- Experience with virtualization technologies (e.g., VMware, Hyper-V) and load balancing/security solutions.
- Familiarity with container solutions (e.g., Kubernetes, OpenShift).
- High-level knowledge of database platforms (e.g., Oracle, MySQL, MSSQL).
- Strong understanding of system integration, enterprise architecture, backup & disaster recovery solutions, and Business Continuity planning.
