We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Secure 5G Infrastructure Implementation Specialist to design, implement, and maintain a secure 5G network infrastructure. The ideal candidate will be responsible for developing comprehensive 5G security architecture, implementing robust security controls, and proactively monitoring and responding to 5G-specific threats and vulnerabilities.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design and implement secure 5G network infrastructure in alignment with industry best practices and regulatory standards.
- Develop and maintain 5G security architecture, policies, and frameworks that support the organization's objectives.
- Define and implement security controls for the Radio Access Network (RAN), 5G Core (5GC), and Multi-access Edge Computing (MEC) components.
- Identify and mitigate risks related to 5G network slicing, virtualization, and software-defined networking (SDN).
- Collaborate with network architects, cybersecurity teams, and technology vendors to ensure security is integrated into all phases of 5G deployment.
- Monitor, detect, and respond to 5G-specific threats, including signaling storms, rogue base stations, and protocol-level vulnerabilities.
- Conduct threat modeling, vulnerability assessments, and penetration testing focused on 5G infrastructure.
- Stay current on emerging 5G security threats, standards (e.g., 3GPP, NIST), and industry trends.
- Participate in audits and ensure compliance with relevant security regulations and frameworks.
- Document security policies, incident response plans, and risk mitigation strategies.
Qualifications and Skills:
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Telecommunications, Cybersecurity, Computer Science, or a related field.
- 5–10 years of experience in network security, with at least 2–3 years focused on 5G infrastructure.
- Strong knowledge of 5G architecture including RAN, 5GC, NFV, SDN, and MEC.
- Experience with 5G security standards and frameworks (e.g., 3GPP TS 33 series, NIST, ETSI).
- Hands-on experience with security tools, monitoring systems, and SIEM platforms tailored for telecom environments.
- Strong understanding of zero trust architecture, identity and access management (IAM), and public key infrastructure (PKI) in 5G environments.
- Excellent analytical, communication, and problem-solving skills.
- Relevant certifications such as CISSP, CISM, CEH, or 5G-specific security credentials are a plus.
