About the Job:
The Senior Data Management Specialist is responsible for overseeing and managing the lifecycle of data across the organization. This role entails ensuring the availability, quality, integrity, security, and usability of data assets. The position involves implementing and enforcing best practices for data governance, data architecture, and data quality management to support business decision-making, analytics, and compliance requirements. The Specialist will collaborate with data engineers, data scientists, business stakeholders, and IT teams to drive data-driven initiatives and enhance the organization's data landscape.
Key Responsibilities:
- Data Governance & Strategy: Develop and manage the data governance framework, enforce data governance policies, and create a unified data strategy aligning with business goals.
- Data Quality & Integrity: Establish data quality management processes, address data quality issues, and report on the health of the data ecosystem.
- Data Architecture & Design: Collaborate with IT teams to design efficient data architectures and lead the design of data lakes and data warehouses.
- Data Security & Compliance: Oversee data security policies, ensure compliance with regulations, and conduct data privacy impact assessments.
- Data Integration & Interoperability: Lead data integration efforts, oversee the development of data pipelines, and ensure data interoperability across platforms.
- Stakeholder Collaboration & Data Support: Work with business stakeholders to understand data requirements and deliver tailored solutions.
- Data Analytics & Reporting: Collaborate with analytics teams to provide high-quality data for reporting and advanced analytics use cases.
