Summary

I am a Senior AI Engineer with more than 8 years of experience building scalable and secure AI systems, backend systems, and cloud-based architectures. The scope of my expertise includes generative AI, retrieval augmented generation (RAG), large-scale data pipelines, and backend architectures capable of turning unstructured data into intelligent products.

Among others, I have acquired proficiency in designing software platforms, enterprise-level systems, contract intelligence solutions, business intelligence software, and cloud-native applications over the last few years. I have also gained extensive experience designing systems capable of executing real-time machine learning, building data pipelines, language models, and production-grade backend infrastructures.

Some of my most important accomplishments are lowering API latency by up to 45 percent, processing up to 50 million feature updates per day, scaling machine learning predictions to serve millions of requests per second, and making engineering teams produce high-quality software faster.

The programming languages and tools I use to engineer systems for businesses include Python, Go, Java, Node.js, AWS, Kubernetes, Kafka, LangChain, vector databases, PostgreSQL, Redis, Docker, Terraform, and CI/CD pipelines.

I graduated from the University of the Philippines Diliman, specializing in computer science. As part of the curriculum, I learned how to build efficient software, analyze algorithmic performance, design systems, and develop concurrent software.

Since graduating from UPD, I have been honing my skills on systems that required scalability, availability, safety, and good system design. I am very passionate about solving engineering problems, especially those pertaining to backend and AI systems engineering.
