Actively Looking for Work
Technology and Engineering Leader with 19+ years of experience designing, modernizing, and delivering enterprise-scale software platforms and distributed systems. I combine hands-on architecture expertise with engineering leadership, working across business, product, architecture, engineering, quality, security, and operations to translate complex requirements into scalable, reliable, and maintainable technology solutions.
Currently working as Associate Director – Product Engineering, leading a 25-member cross-functional engineering organization including managers and team leads, while remaining actively involved in architecture and critical engineering decisions. My hands-on responsibilities include HLD/LLD and architecture reviews, complex code reviews, API and microservices design, event-driven architecture, technology evaluation, security architecture, performance engineering, production problem-solving, and modernization strategy.
I have strong experience in enterprise application and platform modernization, particularly across the Microsoft technology ecosystem. My technical background includes C#, .NET Framework/Core, .NET 6/8, ASP.NET Core, REST APIs, WCF, SQL Server, RabbitMQ, Kubernetes, distributed systems, microservices, IAM/RBAC, design patterns, and enterprise integration. I have led modernization initiatives involving legacy platform assessment, refactoring, migration sequencing, containerization, Kubernetes deployment architecture, and modern .NET roadmaps.
Performance, scalability, reliability, and operational efficiency are key areas of my experience. I led a large-scale performance engineering initiative involving load strategy, capacity analysis, code optimization, observability, and bottleneck identification using Prometheus and Grafana, reducing compute and infrastructure requirements by approximately 50%. My experience also includes high availability, production readiness, zero-downtime releases, incident management, disaster management, and observability using Prometheus, Grafana, Dynatrace, and AppDynamics.
I have also been driving practical adoption of Generative AI within software engineering, leading AI-assisted initiatives for code reviews, impact analysis, test scenario generation, API engineering automation, documentation, and UI validation. These initiatives contributed to a 40% reduction in field-critical defects. An AI-assisted API engineering framework enabled documentation of approximately 150 APIs in four days, reducing manual documentation effort by around 60%.
My approach to architecture is outcome-oriented. I focus on understanding business and product objectives, evaluating technical trade-offs, defining target-state solutions, aligning stakeholders, and working with engineering teams through implementation and production readiness. I am comfortable moving between strategic discussions and detailed technical conversations around architecture, integration, performance, security, scalability, and complex production issues.
Throughout my career, I have worked across solution architecture, technical leadership, product engineering, platform modernization, enterprise integration, and engineering management. I progressed through Senior Technical Manager, Technical Manager, and Team Lead positions, owning solution design and technical delivery for enterprise platforms. Earlier, one of my solutions improved meter-data processing scalability by approximately 70%, supporting around 80 million device-profile reads per hour.
I have also contributed to technology innovation and intellectual property, including filing a software architecture/design patent as a primary contributor to the core concept and architectural design.
Key Expertise:
I bring a combination of deep engineering experience, architecture thinking, business and product alignment, and leadership capability. I am particularly effective in roles that require someone to bridge business objectives and technology execution—shaping architecture and modernization roadmaps, solving complex engineering problems, influencing stakeholders, mentoring technical teams, and translating technology decisions into measurable product and business outcomes.
