Duties & Responsibilities
- Utilize extensive experience to maintain, troubleshoot, test, and repair defects across various electrical systems and equipment. This includes, but is not limited to, LV/HV switchgear, protection systems, SF6 Gas handling, VFD, UPS, Battery Charger, Battery Bank, Power Cable, transformers and related components, motors, MOV, Generators, and heaters.
- Diagnose equipment issues to locate faulty components and determine the necessary repairs and spare parts required for effective planning.
- Execute all preventive and predictive maintenance programs for electrical equipment, including thermography, transformer oil analysis, and partial discharges.
- Assist in overseeing and managing Contractors' works under OPEX/Service Contracts to ensure compliance and efficiency.
- Lead Root Cause Failure Analysis initiatives, driving corrective and preventive actions based on findings.
- Evaluate and identify improvement opportunities to enhance the reliability of electrical equipment and the overall plant.
- Recommend modifications to current facilities to drive improvements, showcasing innovative ideas and methods for optimal results.
- Develop technical reports, conduct lessons learned sessions, and perform technical analyses, presenting findings to department management as necessary.
- Deliver training on various technical topics and generate guidelines on the effective use of electrical testing equipment, along with providing training sessions.
- Execute additional duties and responsibilities as assigned by the Foreman.
- Conduct testing on a wide range of electrical equipment, including breakers, transformers, cables, and motors.
- Proficiently utilize VFD software tools for programming, configuration, and diagnostic functions across various types such as TMEIC, Toshiba, ABB, Siemens, etc.
- Demonstrate experience in UPS (uninterruptible Power Supply) systems with a history of successful troubleshooting and repairs.
- Possess expertise in Protective Relaying Systems, Electric Metering/Measuring Devices, Intelligent Electrical Devices (IEDs), and Power Monitoring and Control systems; including the ability to download, evaluate, and test protection settings and functions.
- Adhere to PRC safety standards and guidelines.
Minimum Requirements
- Diploma in Electrical Discipline with a minimum of 8 years of experience in the Refining and Petrochemical industry.
- Strong analytical skills, results-oriented mindset, conceptualization capabilities, and leadership skills.
- Advanced computer literacy, including proficiency in Office tools and SAP applications.
- Extensive experience in diagnostics and repair methods for electrical equipment specific to the refining and petrochemical sectors.
- High familiarity with international maintenance standards and best practices.
