Key Responsibilities
- Interface and direct vendors involved in new security construction, repairs, daily security operations and patrols, and planning.
- Extract metrics and observe improvements by looking at hard data.
- Make suggestions on improving electronic surveillance and access controls.
- Direct efforts to educate data center occupants on false alarm reductions.
Work Conditions
Amazon internships are full-time (40 hours/week) for 12 consecutive weeks, starting in Summer 2025. This position requires the intern to report to work onsite on a daily basis. Intern schedules are typically day schedules, Monday-Friday. A full time position could involve day, evening, or weekend shifts and on-call rotations.
Qualifications
Basic Qualifications
- In pursuit of or holds a Bachelor’s Degree within Criminology/Criminal Justice or other relevant field.
Preferred Qualifications
- Knowledge of access control and video surveillance software applications (e.g., LENEL or C-cure).
- Interest in investigating accidents, thefts, disturbances, and discrepancies.
- Desire to work in a facility observing security gaps in physical barriers, security officer procedures, policies, surveillance equipment, and alarm points.
- Ability to write detailed reports.
