This exciting opportunity is with the Mastercard Global Acceptance team, focused on enhancing the consumer experience during checkout. The Acceptance Solution Engineer plays a critical role at the intersection of customer, product, and engineering, providing opportunities for learning, visibility, and career growth. The engineer will address real-world challenges, utilizing product and engineering skills to create top-tier checkout experiences for various customers, including PSPs, Gateways, Acquirers, ISVs, and Merchants.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Create customer-driven solution proposals and designs for Mastercard partners (PSP/ISV/Merchants) to implement acceptance products like Click to Pay, Secure Card on File, Passkeys, and Tap to More across different regions.
- Co-design checkout experiences with Mastercard Product Designers and customers.
- Lead technical solution discovery and workshops to develop best-in-class consumer experiences.
- Gather and incorporate customer feedback into the global product roadmap.
- Provide expert-level product and technical support to customers implementing solutions.
- Collaborate with the support organization to manage key customer operational issues and ensure sales teams are informed.
- Become a subject matter expert in Mastercard Acceptance products.
Qualifications:
- 5+ years of experience as a solution architect or product manager.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, IT, or a similar field.
- Experience integrating APIs/SDKs or similar web-based technologies.
- Proven ability to work collaboratively with product, engineering, and UX design teams.
- Background in a B2B customer-facing role is essential.
- Excellent communication and writing skills, with high attention to detail and adaptability.
- Strong problem-solving skills and interpersonal abilities.
- Self-motivated with the ability to complete tasks with limited direction.
- Experience in the payment industry is highly desirable.
- Willingness to travel as required.
