Position

The Account Executive is a field-based, direct sales role focused on client retention and growth through contract expansion and the introduction of new products and services. You will consult with C-level executives to develop and implement an effective, enterprise-wide strategy that maximizes the value of Gartner’s products and services.

Responsibilities:

  • Manage accounts to achieve increased customer satisfaction, retention, and account growth.
  • Responsible for meeting a quota of $800,000+ in contract value within a territory of major public sector client accounts.
  • Master and consistently execute Gartner’s sales methodology.
  • Handle account planning and territory management.
  • Maintain forecast accuracy on a monthly, quarterly, and annual basis.
  • Develop in-depth knowledge of Gartner’s products and services.

Requirements:

  • 5-8 years of experience in consultative sales, preferably in high technology, with a proven record of success.
  • Strong intellectual acumen, drive, executive presence, and sales skills.
  • Proven experience building strong relationships with C-level clients in large enterprises.
  • Strong computer proficiency and presentation skills.
  • Knowledge of the full sales process lifecycle.
  • Bachelor’s or master’s degree is preferred.
