Your Role
As an Accountant (AP Specialist), you will manage accounts payable activities while supporting key accounting and financial reporting processes. Your primary responsibilities will include:
- Managing the timely and accurate processing of supplier invoices, travel claims, and expense reports.
- Monitoring operating expenses and preparing cost centre reports, including variance analysis.
- Supporting budget and forecast preparation while monitoring budget variances.
- Completing month-end and year-end closing activities, including reconciliations, accruals, and journal entries.
- Maintaining accurate general ledger postings and financial records in ERP systems.
- Preparing documentation and schedules for external audits and coordinating with auditors and internal stakeholders.
- Supporting VAT returns and corporate tax filings by preparing relevant documentation and financial data.
- Ensuring compliance with accounting standards, internal controls, and company procedures.
- Identifying opportunities to improve accounting processes, data accuracy, and cost efficiency.
Your Experience
To be successful in this role, you should have:
- A Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in Accounting, Finance, Business, or a related field.
- ACCA, CPA, or a similar professional qualification.
- Experience in accounting, including month-end and year-end closing, reconciliations, and journal entries.
- Experience supporting audit preparation and working with internal or external auditors.
- Knowledge of VAT and tax documentation and compliance.
- Proficiency in ERP systems, such as SAP, and Microsoft Office, particularly Excel.
- A strong understanding of accounting principles, financial reporting standards, and compliance requirements, including IFRS or local GAAP.
- High attention to detail, strong analytical and problem-solving skills, and a commitment to financial accuracy.
- Good communication and coordination skills, with the ability to manage competing priorities and meet deadlines.
- Fluency in English.

- Experience in a multi-entity or international business environment.
- Familiarity with financial planning and budgeting processes.
- Knowledge of UAE-specific VAT and corporate tax requirements.
- Additional language skills.
