Key Responsibilities
- Conduct safety checks at all points before initiating jobs at client sites.
- Perform cleaning, lubrication, and testing of the overspeed governor.
- Check static balancing of units, correcting overbalance in counterweights and adjusting final limits under guidance.
- Lubricate the Safety Action Mechanism and conduct tests as per defined procedures.
- Assist in the installation of door skates and set door locks, ensuring correct operation at each landing.
- Perform unit safety checks by traveling the car top through the shaft, checking for interferences among moving parts.
- Check all electrical operations, including car door, buttons, and intercom functionality.
- Escalate concerns at job sites to the Supervisor, including filling out Non-Conformance Reports and addressing safety issues.
- Set all contact parameters in the controller and put the lift into normal operation.
- Adjust acceleration, deceleration, and ride quality as per recommended standards.
- Inspect motor pits and escalator steps for debris and perform cleaning when necessary.
- Test escalators for obstructions by removing end combs and running the motor through a complete cycle.
- Prepare various reports, including new installation inspection reports, field test data reports, safety check reports, and safety audits.
Requirements
- Relevant experience in elevator/escalator installation, maintenance, or related field preferred.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety practices.
- Ability to work collaboratively with a team and communicate effectively with supervisors and clients.
- Technical aptitude and the ability to understand mechanical and electrical systems.

Contract and Travel Details
- This is a full-time position based in Dubai, United Arab Emirates.
- Occasional travel may be required to client sites as part of responsibilities.
