Key Responsibilities
- Conduct safety checks at all points before initiating jobs at client sites.
- Perform cleaning, lubrication, and testing of the overspeed governor.
- Check static balancing of units, correcting imbalances in counterweights and adjusting final limits under the guidance of a Senior Adjuster/Adjuster.
- Lubricate the Safety Action Mechanism and test it according to defined procedures.
- Under guidance, install door skates and set door locks after driving the product through inspection mode, stopping at each landing, and checking all bolts and fasteners for correct tightness.
- Perform unit safety checks by traveling the car top through the shaft to check for interference between moving parts, cabins, counterweights, or any other equipment.
- Check all electrical operations of the unit, including car doors, buttons, and intercoms.
- Escalate job site concerns to the Supervisor, including completing the NCR, addressing process infractions, and safety issues.
- Set all contact parameters in the controller and put the lift into normal operation.
- Adjust acceleration, deceleration, and ride quality as per recommended standards in the manual.
- Inspect the motor pit and escalator steps for construction debris and clean as necessary according to safety guidelines.
- Test the escalator by removing the comb at both ends plates and hand winding the motor for one complete cycle to ensure no obstructions could damage the steps or handrails.
- Prepare inspection reports for new installations, including field test data reports, safety check reports, and safety audits.
