About the Job
The ADPE Technician role involves providing professional laptop and desktop support, along with excellent customer service to both military and civilian customers in Kuwait. The position includes troubleshooting hardware issues, repairing systems, installing and configuring software for Windows operating systems and Microsoft Office 2007, resolving network connectivity problems, and performing various Service Desk functions as required. Employment is contingent on a post-offer medical examination and medical fitness for duty as determined by CENTCOM.

Responsibilities
- Installs, configures, and maintains DOD-approved communications software on government computers and adjusts the network for user access.
- Installs and configures network printers.
- Ensures stability of classified and unclassified computer systems through DoD-approved, Government-furnished operating systems and software.
- Joins client computers to Microsoft Active Directory domains.
- Configures Microsoft Outlook and manages personal folders in all versions of Outlook.
- Installs, configures, and maintains security software on military computer systems.
- Repairs and maintains desktop and laptop hardware.
- Performs additional duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- U.S. citizenship with an active Secret or higher security clearance required.
- A high school diploma or GED with at least two (2) years of automation equipment repair experience.
- Prerequisites for State-side applicants:
- Valid U.S. passport.
- Valid International Driver’s Permit (IDP).
- Valid U.S. driver’s license.
- Ability to pass a police clearance check and medical qualifications.
- Prerequisites for in-country applicants:
- Valid U.S. passport.
- Valid International Driver’s Permit (IDP) or Kuwait-issued driver's license.
- Valid U.S. driver’s license.
- Medical qualifications, self-identification of current visa sponsor and employer.
- Copy of Civil ID and/or work visa.
- Must meet all health requirements.
- Must pass a detailed medical and dental examination.
- Completion of CONUS Replacement Center (CRC) Training for overseas deployment is required.
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Office software is necessary.
- Strong customer service skills are required.
- Candidates must adhere to DoD 8570.01-M, maintaining at least one (1) baseline certification and one (1) computing environment (CE) certification from the authorized list, including but not limited to:
- CompTIA: A+ ce
- CompTIA: Security+ ce
- Microsoft: MCSA: Windows 10
- Other listed certification options are available.
