About the Role / Job Overview
The ADPE Technician will provide professional laptop and desktop support along with customer service to military and civilian clients in Kuwait. This role involves troubleshooting hardware issues and repairing or referring them to appropriate facilities. The technician will also be responsible for installing, configuring, and resolving software issues for Windows operating systems and Microsoft Office 2007, as well as addressing network connectivity issues at the desktop level. Key responsibilities include joining personal computers (PCs) to local domains, configuring local PC connections to network printers, and performing custom TCP/IP configurations. The technician will troubleshoot Microsoft Exchange Server connectivity issues and install additional software and peripheral devices as needed. Additional service desk functions may be required as well.

Responsibilities
- Install, configure, and maintain DOD-approved communications software on government computers to ensure proper user access to the network.
- Install and configure network printers.
- Ensure stability of both classified and unclassified computer systems using DoD-approved, government-furnished operating systems and software.
- Join client computers to Microsoft Active Directory domains.
- Configure Microsoft Outlook and manage personal folders across all Outlook versions.
- Install, configure, and maintain security software on military computer systems.
- Repair and maintain desktop and laptop hardware.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- Must be a US citizen with an active Secret or higher level security clearance.
- High school diploma or GED, with at least two (2) years of experience related to automation equipment repair.
- Prerequisites for State-side applicants:
- Valid U.S. passport
- Valid International Driver’s Permit (IDP)
- Valid U.S. driver’s license
- Ability to pass police clearance check and medical qualifications
- Prerequisites for in-country applicants:
- Valid U.S. passport
- Valid International Driver’s Permit (IDP) or Kuwait-issued driver's license
- Valid U.S. driver’s license
- Medical qualifications and a self-identification of current visa sponsor and employer
- A copy of Civil ID and/or work visa
- Must meet all health requirements and pass a detailed medical and dental exam.
- Completion of CONUS Replacement Center (CRC) Training for overseas deployment is required.
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Office software is necessary.
- Demonstrated strong customer service skills are mandatory.
- Candidates must adhere to DoD 8570.01-M: maintain at least one (1) baseline certification and one (1) computing environment (CE) certification. Authorized certifications for this job include but are not limited to:
- CompTIA: A+ ce
- CompTIA: Network+ ce
- Microsoft: MCSA: Windows 10
- Microsoft: MCSE: Cloud Platform and Infrastructure
- ISC2: CISSP (or Associate)
- And multiple other IT certifications specifically listed.
Additional Information
- Any clearance requirements for this position are established by the government contract.
- Employment is conditional on a post-offer medical examination and CENTCOM determining medical fitness for duty.
