About the Role
This position primarily supports the Busbar product line for the RAK, UAE manufacturing location, as part of the EMEA Advanced Manufacturing Engineering organization. The role encompasses responsibilities for new product introduction and development, ensuring manufacturing readiness, process development, product transfers, tooling and fixture definition, standardization, and continuous improvement for Busbar production. Collaboration with Product Engineering, Quality, Operations, Supply Chain, and Plant Manufacturing Engineering is essential to ensure that new and existing Busbar products are successfully launched and supported with robust and scalable manufacturing processes.

Key Responsibilities
- Support NPDI readiness for Busbar products at the RAK site, ensuring all manufacturing deliverables are completed on time.
- Support prototype, pilot, and pre-production builds from a manufacturing engineering perspective.
- Develop and implement manufacturing plans for new Busbar products and product changes.
- Prepare manufacturing processes, tooling, fixtures, layouts, work instructions, drawings, bill of materials, and test methods to facilitate successful product launches and stable ramp-up.
- Coordinate industrialization activities with cross-functional teams, including Product Engineering, Quality, Operations, Supply Chain, and Plant Manufacturing Engineering.
- Drive design for manufacturability and design for assembly reviews to enhance manufacturability, reduce costs, improve quality, and increase process efficiency.
- Support plant-to-plant product transfers and the implementation of standardized manufacturing methods.
- Assist in the development and release of standardized manufacturing documentation, including workmanship standards, process documentation, standard work, and operating instructions.
- Support identification, specification, and justification of key manufacturing processes, tools, fixtures, and equipment.
- Research and assist in the implementation of new manufacturing technologies and practices for Busbar production.
- Conduct manufacturing cost analysis for new and existing products.
- Assist with capacity analysis, line balancing, layout development, labor optimization, and process flow improvements.
- Support capital projects related to industrialization, layout changes, tooling, fixtures, equipment, and process capability improvements.
- Specify manufacturing process capabilities and assist in the development of Process Failure Mode and Effects Analysis (PFMEA) and control plans to enhance manufacturability and quality.
- Coordinate structured problem-solving activities to boost operating performance and align with business objectives.
- Support Lean Manufacturing and Six Sigma projects focused on productivity enhancement, waste reduction, quality improvement, and process stability.
- Implement best manufacturing practices and facilitate the replication of proven solutions across Busbar operations where applicable.
- Act as a technical advisor to the RAK manufacturing site on Busbar-related process development and industrialization topics.
- Support the ramp-up and stabilization of new or modified processes until target performance levels are achieved.
- Ensure all activities comply with company standards, environmental health and safety requirements, quality requirements, and applicable regulations.
Job Requirements
Education:
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or a related technical field.
Language Skills:
Experience:
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in manufacturing engineering, advanced manufacturing engineering, industrialization, or technical operations.
- Proven experience supporting new product introduction, product transfers, process development, and manufacturing readiness in a manufacturing environment.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office, product data management systems, computer-aided design tools, and manufacturing data analysis tools.
- Experienced with facility or production line layout development using AutoCAD or equivalent software.
- Strong mechanical aptitude with sound knowledge of assembly and fabrication processes.
- Familiar with manufacturing methods, tooling, fixtures, process documentation, and new manufacturing technologies.
- Effective use of Lean Manufacturing and Six Sigma process improvement tools.
- Strong communication skills for effective interaction at all organizational levels.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to collaborate cross-functionally with Product Engineering, Quality, Operations, Supply Chain, and Plant Manufacturing Engineering.
- Working knowledge of financial and business applications related to cost analysis and capital justification preferred.
- Experience with enterprise resource planning/material requirements planning systems preferred.
- Experience with capital appropriation or capital project justification preferred.
- Experience in Busbar, metal processing, conductor, fabrication, assembly, or similar manufacturing environments is advantageous.
- Ability to travel up to 5%.
