Position

The company combines construction expertise with consultancy to unlock potential in every person or project and redefine the boundaries of ambition. Our project involves joining the expanding the company Advisory Centre of Excellence within the company Consult, where our team has a track record of successfully delivering a wide variety of commissions with both property and infrastructure clients across the globe. We seek candidates with a broad and flexible technical skillset to complement our current team by offering strategic advice to our clients alongside the company sector teams.

Ideal Candidate Profile

  • Experience in developing strategic advisory capabilities, ideally gained within a consultancy business or through relevant advisory commissions.
  • Exposure to two or more of the following areas:
    • Operating model/governance design in a management consulting role.
    • Organisation design, team sizing, management spans and layers design, and role profile development for large-scale capital project teams.
    • Capital planning and/or built asset management across large-scale capital projects.
    • Feasibility studies for significant capital projects, evaluating from engineering, financial, and economic perspectives.
    • Economic and financial modeling to inform investment decisions in infrastructure and real estate projects.
    • Benefits management and the design/setup of benefits realisation frameworks.
    • Change management on major transformation programmes in infrastructure sectors.
    • Commercial advisory experience in supply chain management, procurement, or contract negotiations.

Responsibilities

  • Provide technical and advisory support to clients across various projects under guidance from more experienced colleagues.
  • Communicate effectively and translate complex topics into accessible language.
  • Liaise with clients and help maintain professional relationships with key members within client organisations.
  • Contribute to business development activity by providing inputs for bids, client materials, and new business opportunities.
  • Participate in the Advisory Centre of Excellence, sharing knowledge and supporting team development.

Required Skills and Attributes

  • Knowledge of property and infrastructure sectors, such as aviation, rail, healthcare, nuclear, energy, or government.
  • Proficient in research, analysis, generating creative ideas, and delivering high-quality presentations and reports.
  • Self-motivated to learn new skills and explore various opportunities with the ability to manage multiple activities effectively.
  • Strong stakeholder engagement and client relationship management skills.
