About the Job
This role is responsible for encompassing the performance of aftermarket services and support for the installed base, as well as High Voltage Products (GIS, LTB, AIS, GCB & Power Quality) maintenance services to our utility and contractor for UAE. It involves performing preventive maintenance, upgrades, troubleshooting, and warranty repairs on High Voltage Products, as well as performing commissioning activities. The position entails the development and implementation of proactive services responsive to customer requirements, coordination of investigations of customer-reported issues, and assistance to achieve equitable solutions for our customers.
How You’ll Make an Impact
- Strong knowledge of High Voltage Products Services & Service portfolios.
- Carrying out Installation & Commissioning, extension, and maintenance services independently; providing on-site or remote technical support for installation and commissioning of primarily GIS, LTB, AIS & Power Quality Solutions, and routine maintenance services. Identifies technical problems and performs analysis through remote or on-site activity in different service categories.
- Ensuring that the necessary accident prevention measures are observed, specifically abiding by guidelines for work on live system components.
- Supervising adherence to safety and industry accepted practices, creating and maintaining strong relationships with customers, understanding their needs, and providing specialist support and solutions.
- Recommending immediate and future service requirements to customers and providing feedback to the Service Sales team.
- Acting as a representative of the OEM during customer interactions, preparing tools, equipment, and parts needed for a service job, and understanding the job scope to be performed.
- Ensuring that job documentation is available and briefing with the service manager, department head, or supervisor about the expected on-site situation.
- Creating service reports, time sheets & delivery notes, duly signed by the customer.
- Acting as the voice of the customer back into internal engineering and quality functions, supporting service and delivery of site activities for High Voltage Products or Equipment maintenance works.
- Effectively managing multifunctional interfaces - internal, feeder factories, service department, customers, and sub-suppliers while demonstrating personal leadership and maintaining a teamwork environment to deliver assignments.
- Updating the installed base in the IB Analyzer (the approved service database) with changes made on-site.
- Establishing long-term customer relationships by understanding customer requirements and applicable regulations, responding immediately to issues, and demonstrating in-depth technical service product/solutions knowledge to promote product Life Cycle Management.
- Responsible for adherence to quality assurance requirements on the Power Plant, Substation, Oil & Gas, or process industries site, and seeking continual improvement.
- Ensuring compliance with applicable external and internal regulations, procedures, and guidelines.

Your Background
- A bachelor’s degree or diploma in engineering is preferred.
- Minimum 10 years of experience with 6 to 8 years in High Voltage Products or Equipment (GIS, LTB, AIS), Power Quality Products (PQPS) installation testing, commissioning, repair, and maintenance, monitoring and measuring devices, maintenance work of High Voltage Products or Equipment, or working with utilities companies.
- Computer literate with excellent interpersonal written and oral communication skills.
- Relevant experience in Transmission GIS Installation and Commissioning, including Substation Services and Preventive Maintenance activities is an added value.
- A team player with the ability to network and build relationships internally and externally.
- Highly focused on meeting customer service and quality standards.
- Valid Factory Certification for GIS from the company is an added advantage.
- Proficiency in both spoken and written English is required.
