About the Job
This role is responsible for encompassing the performance of aftermarket services and support for the installed base, as well as High Voltage Products (GIS, LTB, AIS, GCB & Power Quality) maintenance services to our utility, contractor for UAE. This involves performing preventive maintenance, upgrades, troubleshooting, and warranty repairs on High Voltage Products, along with commissioning activities. The position requires the development and implementation of proactive services responsive to customer requirements, coordination of investigations of customer-reported issues, and assistance to achieve equitable solutions for our customers.

How you’ll make an impact

  • Strong knowledge of Power Quality Products & Service portfolios.
  • Arrange and perform activities in shop floor/ Site related to quality checking of product/ Services, incoming material quality, Operation Service quality monitoring.
  • Install, commission and maintain power quality systems, including filters, capacitors and reactors.
  • Analyze electrical systems to identify power quality issues and implement corrective measures.
  • Collaborate with clients and engineering teams to design and execute commissioning plans. Conduct site assessments and troubleshoot power quality issues.
  • Monitor and test electrical parameters such as voltage, current and harmonics, providing technical support to clients and internal teams while documenting procedures, findings, and recommendations and ensuring compliance with industry standards and regulations.
  • Elaboration of inspection and test plans and concepts during tenders and projects in the areas of Power Quality Solutions.
  • Conception, preparation, and execution of factory and site acceptance tests together with customers and suppliers.
  • Coordination of commissioning works including taking responsibility for budget and time of all commissioning activities on site.
  • Self-responsible supervision and management of suppliers and/or partners, active leadership of commissioning activities on site in UAE, continuous learning and development in all related technologies while ensuring a safe environment by implementing HSE requirements.
  • Acts as the voice of the customer back into internal engineering and quality functions.
  • Effectively manages multifunctional interfaces - internal, feeder factories, service department, customers, and sub-suppliers.
  • Show personal leadership and maintain a teamwork environment to deliver assignments.
  • Responsible for adherence to the quality assurance requirements on the Power Plant / Substation / Oil & Gas / Process Industries site, continually seeking improvements.
  • Ensure compliance with applicable external and internal regulations, procedures, and guidelines.

Your Background

  • A bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering is preferred.
  • Minimum 5 years or a Diploma in electrical engineering with a minimum of 10 years of experience in Power Quality services and commissioning works.
  • Proficient in analyzing electrical systems and implementing corrective measures.
  • Strong knowledge of power quality systems, filters, capacitors & reactors.
  • Experience in collaborating with clients and engineering teams.
  • Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
  • Familiarity with industry standards and regulations.
  • Computer literate with excellent interpersonal written/oral communication skills.
  • Team player with the ability to network and build relationships both internally and externally.
  • Highly focused on meeting customer service and quality standards.
  • Proficiency in both spoken & written English language is required.
