In this role, you will:
- Facilitate key ceremonies such as PI planning and Review, and play a consultative role to help implement the appropriate people, processes, and tools supporting the Agile framework while coaching team members to optimize the efficiency of the Release Train team.
- Drive delivery of large scale internal development and vendor tender across the company's Network Operations in a fast-paced environment with tight timelines and high operational impact, focusing on delivering internally built systems and large vendor implementations.
- Act as a Champion in blending traditional project management principles with an Agile approach, ensuring the right level of planning and balance of agility and predictability based on PMI-ACP principles.
- Build a trusting and safe environment where problems can be openly discussed, emphasizing healing and problem-solving while employing a servant leadership style.
- Lead the Integrated Programme Planning (Lean Start Up), working with portfolio teams to drive and facilitate the decomposition of Epic Roadmaps into Integrated Program backlog/plans ready for handoff into team level backlogs.
- Drive quality and ensure the Definition of Done (DOD) is followed, engaging each team member in the stories and their contributions.
- Assist in team development by holding teams accountable for commitments and removing roadblocks while leveraging cross-functional skills and mentoring team members.
- Support the Technical Product Manager in managing business expectations and maintaining transparency in product backlog and schedules for all initiatives.
- Define and manage a well-defined process while championing ongoing process improvement initiatives to implement best practices for Agile Delivery Management.
- Assist with cost estimation and sizing exercises for both near term and future initiatives and help prepare the total cost of ownership with the product team.
Requirements
- Degree in Computer Science or equivalent
- Proven leadership and project delivery experience in a matrix organization with global teams for a large organization.
- Experience in agile delivery within the context of large technology change programs.
Knowledge/Skills:
- Certified SAFe and PMI ACP (additional certifications such as PMI, Prince 2, CSM desirable) with 5+ years of practical application of the Scrum Management discipline.
- Proficient in software delivery tools (e.g., ServiceNow ITBM, MS OFFICE suite, JIRA, Confluence, etc.).
- Strong architectural knowledge of large scale systems.
- Effective communication of specialist information to stakeholders.
- Excellent communication skills, emphasizing scrum values of openness, honesty, and respect.
- Hands-on leader with strong people skills.
- Experience in operational domains such as network operations, crew management, or rostering is an advantage, especially where delivery impacts live operations.
