In this role you will:

  • Facilitate key ceremonies such as PI planning and Review, and help optimize the efficiency of the Release Train team.
  • Act as a Champion in blending traditional project management principles with an Agile development approach.
  • Build a trusting and safe environment where problems can be raised without fear of blame, focusing on healing and problem-solving.
  • Lead the Integrated Programme Planning (Lean Start Up), driving and facilitating decomposition of Epic Roadmaps into Integrated Program backlog/plans.
  • Drive Quality and ensure the Definition of Done (DOD) is followed, maintaining an agile project management tool (e.g., ScrumDesk, JIRA).
  • Assist in team development, holding teams accountable for their commitments and removing roadblocks to their work.
  • Support the Technical Product Manager in managing business expectations and transparency in product backlog and schedule.
  • Define and manage a well-defined process and champion ongoing process improvement initiatives.
  • Assist with cost estimation and maintain the actuals within the allocated budget.

Requirements

  • Degree or Honours (12+3 or equivalent) in Computer Science or equivalent
  • 8+ years of proven leadership and project delivery experience in a matrix organisation
  • Experience in Agile delivery within large technology change programmes
  • Certified SAFe and PMI ACP with 5+ years of practical application of the Scrum Management discipline
  • Well-versed in software delivery tools (e.g., ServiceNow ITBM, MS OFFICE suite, JIRA)
  • Good architectural knowledge of large-scale systems
  • Excellent communication skills, focusing on core scrum values of openness, honesty, and respect
  • Proven experience managing strategic technology vendors and project-level financial governance
