We are seeking a highly experienced and visionary Director of AI Development to lead our Artificial Intelligence initiatives and guide our team to new frontiers of innovation. This role involves strategically shaping and executing our AI roadmap and leading a multi-layered AI engineering organization, including AI Engineering Managers and their teams.
Key Responsibilities:
- Define the long-term AI strategy and roadmap aligned with the company’s business objectives and product vision.
- Stay abreast of emerging AI trends, proactively identify opportunities for new integrations and enhancements.
- Oversee the design and implementation of cutting-edge AI and machine learning models.
- Evaluate and integrate external AI solutions to augment internal capabilities.
- Explore and validate new AI methods and frameworks to optimize performance and scalability.
- Mentor and develop AI Engineering Managers and their teams.
- Foster a high-performance culture that emphasizes innovation and knowledge sharing.
- Build and maintain a talent pipeline, ensuring the attraction and development of engineering talent.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate AI solutions into products.
- Advocate for AI capabilities and communicate value to executive leadership.
- Establish engineering standards and ensure compliance with data privacy and security requirements.
- Track and analyze KPIs to optimize performance and resource allocation.
Job Requirements:
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, or related field; Ph.D. preferred.
- 10+ years of experience in software engineering, with at least 5 years focused on AI, machine learning, and advanced analytics.
- Proven experience in delivering scalable AI solutions within a product-driven organization.
- Experience leading high-performing engineering teams, including managers and team leads.
- Deep understanding of modern AI/ML frameworks, architectures, and technologies (e.g., TensorFlow, PyTorch).
- Strong communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to translate technical concepts into business value.
- Strategic mindset and results-oriented approach to innovation.
- Must be fluent in Arabic and English.
