As an AI Governance Engineer, you will be responsible for standard-setting, testing, and independent verification of AI agent safety, quality, and compliance as our agent fleet expands. Your role is not to build or operate agents, but to define what "safe, correct, and compliant" means, conduct tests, scale testing as the agent count increases, and drive accountability in case of issues.
Key Responsibilities:

AI Safety:
- Architect adversarial payload libraries and develop red-teaming frameworks for engineering teams.
- Author reusable red-teaming library covering vulnerabilities for LLM applications.
- Conduct periodic red-team campaigns and provide automated regression tests.

Quality:
- Build testing policies, bias assessment templates, and monitoring frameworks.
- Integrate evaluation methodologies into CI/CD pipelines for quality assurance.

Compliance & Brand Success:
- Translate regulatory obligations into actionable technical checklists.
- Facilitate auditability and operationalize compliance requirements.

Governance Intelligence:
- Maintain oversight of AI products and conduct assessments against global frameworks.
- Collaborate with teams to troubleshoot and improve governance metrics.
Your Profile:
- Extensive experience in building and testing systems where safety and compliance are critical.
- Knowledge of red-teaming or adversarial testing on LLM applications, or experience in AI Engineering, QA automation, or compliance engineering.
- Proficiency in data access control models (IAM, row-level security) and familiarity with RAG pipelines.
- Programming skills in Python preferred for automation tasks.
What Sets You Apart:
- Ability to communicate effectively between security, engineering, data, and legal teams.
- Experience in regulated environments (fintech, healthtech, etc.) and knowledge of governance frameworks.
- Understanding of prompt injection defense patterns and OWASP top vulnerabilities.
Progression Opportunities:
- Initial phase includes auditing agents, defining governance taxonomy, and establishing workflows.
- Operationalization of reusable libraries and automated testing frameworks.
- Scaling and embedding full automation to enhance governance effectiveness.
