Position

The AI Governance Lead for the Banking project will operate within a Hub and Spoke Model, working across various business functions to ensure the responsible, ethical, and compliant development and deployment of AI systems.

Responsibilities:

  • Create a Responsible AI Plan with a supporting benefits realization plan.
  • Define an AI current state assessment framework with periodic maturity checkpoints.
  • Develop and maintain Responsible AI policies, standards, and procedures.
  • Report to the AI Council and Focus Group forums on key activities, metrics, and insights.
  • Conduct AI Safety and Ethics uplift initiatives.
  • Establish a peer-review protocol for all technical documentation.
  • Ensure all details of AI models and solutions are recorded in a centralized AI Inventory and Service Catalog.
  • Develop an AI Risk Management Framework and oversee periodic risk assessments.
  • Create and distribute the AI Acceptable Use Guide.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's or Master’s degree in computer science, Data Science, Law, Ethics, or a related field.

  • Essential Skills:

    • Technical Literacy and AI Fluency: Understanding of AI technologies, including machine learning, data science, ML ops, Gen AI, and AI frameworks.
    • Ethical AI Leadership: Commitment to responsible AI practices, ensuring fairness, transparency, and accountability.
    • Data-Driven Decision Making: Proficiency in leveraging data analytics to inform governance decisions and policies.
  • Desired Skills:

    • Regulatory Compliance and AI Policy Expertise: Knowledge of relevant laws, regulations, and standards governing AI use.
    • Risk Management: Ability to identify, assess, and mitigate risks associated with AI deployment.
    • Cross-Disciplinary Collaboration: Strong communication skills to work effectively with diverse teams, including legal, technical, and business stakeholders.
    • Innovation and Agility: Capacity to adapt to rapidly evolving AI technologies and methodologies.
    • Human-Centered AI and Emotional Intelligence: Focus on user-centric design and understanding the human impact of AI systems.
    • Project Management: Skills to oversee AI projects from conception to implementation, ensuring they meet governance standards.

Experience:

  • At least 10 years of experience in technology or financial services, with a minimum of 3 years in a risk or governance role.
