Responsibilities
- Build and maintain the Agentic SDLC platform.
- Deliver advanced banking features using the platform.
- Communicate effectively with both technical teams and non-technical stakeholders, influencing and driving changes in engineering habits across squads.
- Conduct constructive code reviews and share knowledge among team members.
- Ensure the integration of AI tooling into the development process including the use of Claude Code or GitHub Copilot, and be engaged with spec-based development and AI-generated tests.
- Manage the service pipeline including GitHub Actions, Docker, Kubernetes, and OpenShift.
- Maintain hands-on involvement with Spec-Driven Development, ensuring that specifications are treated as the source of truth and used to generate implementation and tests.
Requirements
- Seniority: Senior (10+ years), with a minimum of 4-5 years spent writing and running production code.
- Interpersonal Skills: Strong communicator who can effectively connect with engineers, architects, and various non-technical stakeholders including business, product, operations, risk, compliance, and audit.
- Ability to influence without authority and build credibility.
- A collaborative nature, generous in knowledge sharing, and comfortable with technical discussions and disagreements.
- Technical Skills:
- AI Tooling (Must-Have): Daily use of Claude Code or GitHub Copilot, experience with spec-based development, AI-generated testing, skill-file authoring, and prompt engineering. Critical reviewer of AI outputs to integrate human judgment where necessary.
- Frontend (Mandatory): Proficiency in React, TypeScript, component design, responsive UI, Figma-to-code implementation, accessibility, and cross-browser behavior.
- Backend (Mandatory): Experience with Java 17+/Spring Boot 3.x, NodeJS (Express, Next.js), Python, database design and modeling, REST and event-driven APIs, OAuth2/OIDC, PostgreSQL, Kafka, and IBM MQ.
- DevOps: Experience owning service pipelines with tools such as GitHub Actions, Docker, Kubernetes/OpenShift, GitOps, automated testing, observability, and on-call ownership.
- Nice to Have: Experience with React Native, Apache Camel K, Flowable BPM, familiarity with UAE banking domain, CBUAE security awareness, and experience in introducing developer platforms or new engineering practices at scale. Public technical writing or speaking experience is also a plus.
