Responsibilities:
- Installation, configuration, and maintenance of data center infrastructure, including servers, storage systems, and network devices.
- Responsible for receiving and unpacking servers in the shipping bay.
- Shifting equipment to the data center floor and installing/maintaining servers, switches, PDUs, and other rack equipment.
- Managing the inventory of all data center equipment.
- Performing troubleshooting and resolving technical issues with data center equipment and systems.
- Performing routine maintenance tasks such as checking and replacing air filters, cleaning equipment, and monitoring temperature and humidity levels.
- Collaborating with other IT teams to ensure seamless integration of data center systems with other IT infrastructure.
- Developing and maintaining technical documentation, including diagrams, schematics, and procedures.
- Participating in on-call rotation to provide 24/7 support for data center operations.
- Staying up-to-date with the latest technologies and trends in data center infrastructure and operations.
- Ensuring compliance with data center standards, policies, and procedures.
Ideal Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
- 2+ years of experience in data center operations or a related field.
- Strong knowledge of data center infrastructure, including servers, storage systems, and network devices.
- Experience with data center management software, such as DCIM or BMS.
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize tasks effectively.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to maintain accurate records.
- Experience with scripting languages, such as Python or PowerShell.
- Familiarity with virtualization technologies, such as VMware or Hyper-V.
- Experience with cloud computing platforms, such as AWS or Azure.
Compensation:
Groq offers a competitive base salary as part of a comprehensive compensation package, which includes equity and benefits. For this role, the base salary range is 120,000 SAR to 180,000 SAR, determined by your skills, qualifications, experience, and internal benchmarks.
