We are hiring an Alliances Field Engineer to support our prominent partners (e.g., Intel, Nvidia, Google, Dell, HP, Accenture, Tata) in understanding and adopting our open source platform for their needs. Our worldwide field engineering team provides expert insights to real customer problems, facilitating the enterprise adoption of Ubuntu, OpenStack, Kubernetes, AI/MLOps, and other associated technologies.

In this role, you will assist various alliances and partners in leveraging our products and technologies. Your responsibilities will include helping business leaders define joint go-to-market programs from a technical perspective, understanding Ubuntu, Linux, and networking in real-world environments, architecting cloud infrastructure solutions, and facilitating onboarding sessions/workshops to promote the company's offerings.

Qualifications:

  • Extensive experience with Linux (preferably Ubuntu), Kubernetes, Ceph, and software automation.
  • Experience in designing and implementing solutions on public or private clouds.
  • Proficiency in Python and Bash, with strong troubleshooting skills.
  • Fluent written and spoken English.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills.
  • High motivation, ability to multi-task, and reliable follow-up on commitments.
  • Interest in customer-facing engagement, including pitching and understanding customer environments.
  • Familiarity with new technologies like LXD, Juju, and Snaps.
  • Degree in Computer Science, Mathematics, Physics, or a related technical field is preferred.

Work Conditions:
Full-time, remote work with the possibility to travel globally up to 30% of the time.
