Analyst, Group Strategic Investments

About the Role

This position involves supporting the Manager and Senior Manager in executing various workstreams related to mergers and acquisitions, joint ventures, disposals, equity and debt capital market transactions, and other initiatives across the company, including HQ and Group Companies. The role aims to maintain an adequate investment governance framework and ensure project execution adheres to relevant processes and guidelines while delivering on performance scorecards.

Key Accountabilities

Job Specific

Significant Investments

• Conduct modeling and analysis activities to support execution-stage deals.
• Provide comprehensive support during corporate transactions, including financial modeling, due diligence, and various value creation work streams.
• Assist in drafting investment stream documentation, detailed placement memorandums, and all service tender efforts.
• Help prepare relevant marketing materials.

Investment Governance

• Present and provide advice on financial models to relevant internal stakeholders.
• Ensure all finalized project/deal financial models are consistent and quality assured, following the Group Economic Evaluation Guidelines.

Stakeholder Management

• Act as a focal point for operational deal-related matters by liaising with internal/external members of deal execution teams, gathering information, and scheduling meetings.

• Plan, supervise, and coordinate all activities in the assigned area to meet functional objectives.
• Train and develop assigned staff on relevant skills to enhance their proficiency and enable them to deliver on business objectives.

Budgets

• Provide input for preparing the Function / Division / Department / Section budgets, assist in implementing the approved budget, and work plans to achieve business objectives.
• Investigate and highlight any significant variances to support effective performance and cost control.

• Implement approved policies, processes, systems, standards, and procedures to support the execution of work programs in line with company and International standards.
• Ensure compliance with applicable legislation and legal regulations.

Performance Management

• Contribute to achieving the approved Performance Objectives for the Function / Division / Department / Section following the Company Performance framework.

Innovation and Continuous Improvement

• Design and implement new tools and techniques to enhance the quality and efficiency of operational processes.
• Identify improvements in internal processes aligned with best practices to pursue greater efficiency in defining intelligent solutions to function-related issues.

Health, Safety, Environment (HSE) and Sustainability

• Comply with relevant HSE policies, procedures & controls, and applicable legislation in line with international standards and best practices, including the company Code of Practices.

Reports

• Contribute to the preparation of Management Information Systems (MIS) and progress reports for Company Management.

Qualifications, Experience, Knowledge & Skills

Minimum Qualification

• Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Finance, or Accounting.

Minimum Experience & Knowledge & Skills

• A minimum of 6 years of experience in finance, accounting, financial modeling, mergers and acquisitions, commercial/trading, business development, and capital markets.

Professional Certifications

• CPA, ACCA, or CFA preferred.
