CDNA is a U.S. derivatives exchange registered with and regulated by the CFTC, focusing on fully-collateralized event contracts and future traditional products in the pipeline. The Market Regulation Department enforces Exchange rules via market advisories, investigations, trade surveillance, and disciplinary actions.

In this role, you will detect and investigate trading activities in derivatives markets to identify potential violations of Exchange rules and CFTC Regulations. You will provide guidance to market participants and must demonstrate professionalism, proactivity, analytical skills, collaboration, and effective communication.

Responsibilities
Real-Time Market Monitoring

  • Conduct real-time monitoring of all exchange activity to identify potential market abuse and ensure fair price discovery.
  • Ensure participant compliance with margin requirements and position limits through market data monitoring.
  • Utilize surveillance tools to identify anomalies and escalate concerns.

Trade Analysis & Investigation

  • Engage in post-trade reviews and forensic analysis of flagged transactions.
  • Investigate potential rule violations, compile records, and draft investigative reports.
  • Prepare reports on findings and recommend actions.

Regulatory Compliance

  • Ensure adherence to relevant regulations and internal policies.
  • Collaborate on responses to regulatory inquiries and audits.

Policy Development & Enforcement

  • Assist in developing surveillance protocols and compliance frameworks.
  • Enforce KYC/AML procedures and transaction monitoring.

Cross-Functional Collaboration

  • Work with Legal, Risk, and Technology teams to refine surveillance systems.
  • Liaise with external regulators and industry bodies as required.

Required Experience

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Economics, Finance, Math, or Juris Doctorate.
  • 4+ years of Compliance experience in financial services or related fields.
  • Experience in Derivatives or Prediction Markets and familiarity with Trade Surveillance Platforms is essential.
  • Strong communication skills for interaction with market participants and regulators.
  • Flexibility to work weekends and evenings as needed.
