Analyst - WBG, ADIB Capital & Treasury Business Finance

About the Job
As an Analyst in WBG / Treasury Business Finance, you will be based at the company's Head Office and play a crucial role in providing financial analytics, performance management, planning, and support to the respective businesses within the company. Your main responsibility will be assisting the Line Manager (LM) in delivering timely business insights and analytics to meet financial targets outlined in budgets and forecasts. You will produce comprehensive monthly business analyses, including budget variance analyses, which will be shared with stakeholders. Your work will support a disciplined cost culture, ensuring efficient management of direct and controllable costs. Additional tasks will include monitoring key business profitability metrics and preparing insightful forecasts and financial reports.

Key Accountabilities

• Provide support to LM in executing strategic plans set by the Heads of WBG/Treasury/IBG.
• Coordinate weekly flash collection exercises in conjunction with various teams.
• Prepare daily and weekly trackers of Balance Sheet movements to enhance decision-making.
• Improve profitability pattern analyses and reporting capabilities across the corporate business group.
• Collaborate in budget production to align with the company's vision and strategy.
• Monitor budget variances and elucidate the underlying business drivers and product offerings.
• Establish and track cost allocation guidelines for each cost center.
• Analyze profitability and monitor contingent exposures.
• Refresh and track performance scorecards and KPIs.
• Produce reports to support management in everyday operations and decision-making.
• Collaborate with business stakeholders for reviewing cases for senior management.
• Ensure adherence to internal control standards and contribute to ad-hoc initiatives when required.

Requirements

• 2 - 5 years of experience in a Business/Finance analytics role.
• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field.
• Strong analytical and financial skills.
• Excellent communication abilities with a solid work ethic.
• Proficiency in all MS Office applications.
• Attention to detail coupled with the ability to execute tasks swiftly.
• Research skills are essential.
• Finance qualification such as CMA or ACCA is a plus.
