As an Analytics and Insights Specialist, you will lead and supervise the operations of your team, playing a pivotal role in setting direction, engaging stakeholders, managing initiatives, and generating actionable insights aligned with strategic objectives. You will orchestrate the collection, change management, and coordination of Data Assets that underpin Business Intelligence (BI) and analytics projects. Your responsibilities will include ensuring effective data governance, data quality, security, and compliance with best practices. You will also coach and mentor team members, empowering them to take on greater responsibilities.
Key Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with business departments to document Data Asset requirements aligned with business objectives.
- Engage and manage stakeholders to prioritize projects and validate requirements.
- Manage visibility of ongoing projects with leadership, providing recommendations or action plans.
- Encourage the use of data across business areas and support implementation of new projects.
- Promote development within your team, managing members strategically.
- Maintain planning and prioritization of requirement delivery.
- Ensure governance of Data Assets aligns with corporate standards.
- Advocate for data management best practices and compliance with corporate Data Privacy policies.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree or Honours in a relevant discipline; additional qualification in data analytics is preferred.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in a data-driven environment.
- Extensive experience working with data assets that support business needs.
- Proficiency in languages such as SQL, Python, R, etc.
- Knowledge of visualisation best practices and data storytelling.
- Excellent command of written and spoken English.
- Experience with project management principles and techniques.
- Proven team management experience.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience in the Travel, Tourism, Aviation, or Cargo industry.
- Strong data-driven storytelling and stakeholder engagement skills.
