Android Developer

Synechron is seeking an experienced Android Developer to join our team in Dubai. The successful candidate will have a minimum of 5 years of coding experience in Android, particularly in creating enterprise mobile applications. The developer will possess strong skills in Kotlin and have a solid understanding of object-oriented software development and Android SDK, including Security Modules and Jetpack libraries.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design and maintain high-performance, scalable Android applications.
• Utilize Android Architecture Components and manage the full app lifecycle, from development to shipping through the Google Play Store.
• Collaborate on coding, security, unit testing, and documentation standards.
• Actively participate in Agile methodologies and CI/CD processes.
• Conduct technical research and benchmark against best-in-class technologies.

Technical Skills:

• Proficiency in Android development with a focus on clean and maintainable code.
• Experience with multi-threading, memory management specific to mobile devices, and caching mechanisms.
• Knowledge of Firebase and source code management tools such as GitHub.
• Familiarity with MVVM, Clean Architecture, Dependency Injection, and Functional Programming.

Functional Skills:

• Strong problem-solving skills, particularly in algorithms and data structures.
• Ability to influence teams on technical considerations and improve productivity.
• Excellent interpersonal skills for effective communication with senior management.
