API Integration Engineer

The company is an Engineering and Recruitment Services Company based in Dubai, serving industry leaders globally. We are looking for an experienced IT API Integration Engineer to join one of the region's top insurance groups. The role involves supporting the design, development, security, deployment, and lifecycle management of APIs across various insurance business lines and digital platforms.

The API Integration Engineer will manage the API platform, working closely with various consumers and providers. Key responsibilities include designing and developing APIs, documenting them, and managing their lifecycle from non-production to production and disaster recovery environments. The engineer will work on multiple verticals, including:

• Health APIs
• Property & Casualties (PnC) APIs
• Corporate, Regulatory, and Digital APIs
• Data APIs
• Partners Onboarding for e-commerce
• Platform evolutions, monitoring, and maintenance

Operational & Technical Responsibilities:

• Collaborate with the Team Lead on development planning and task estimation
• Ensure that developments meet architecture and information security standards
• Train other team members
• Document integrations and revisions
• Conduct research to identify integration issues and develop solutions
• Manage production operations, including monitoring and incident support

Required Qualifications:

• 3 years of experience in API Development, REST APIs, and SOAP Services
• Knowledgeable in API security, management, and gateway solutions (e.g., Wso2, Apigee, Axway)
• Experience with AWS cloud and containerized environments
• Strong communication skills in English
• Ability to work effectively in teams and with diverse backgrounds
