Position

The Application Assurance Specialist will implement an IT Governance & Risk Framework which drives the implementation of good practice and continuous improvement in IT governance & risk measurement. This role involves developing, implementing, and optimizing IT processes, alongside establishing and governing metrics and reporting mechanisms for assessing security, privacy, and compliance risks across the organization. The specialist will also identify, assess and reduce current and emerging technology risks to be within the tolerance levels set by the company group Enterprise Risk.

Key Responsibilities

  • Responsible for streamlining, optimizing, maintaining, and updating Technology Department processes and documentation.
  • Develop and update Technology processes for cloud readiness.
  • Implement and maintain a Technology Governance Framework.
  • Define and develop an IT Risk Management framework to ensure consistent risk management decisions.
  • Develop IT Risk Management policy and procedure, embedding IT risk management practices within all ITD operational processes and activities.
  • Integrate the management of Technology risks into the company's operational risk management procedures.
  • Direct the establishment of IT risk management practices to provide assurance that these practices are effective and remain within the company Group’s risk appetite.
  • Optimize and manage a central repository while enabling process modeling notation in line with the company's environment.
  • Align Technology processes and standards with International Standards and National Regulations, including but not limited to ISO27001, ISO9001, ISO2000, PCI-DSS, and NESA.
  • Maintain the respective IMS certifications and manage Technology Governance performance measurement.
  • Ensure the timely and accurate generation, review, and delivery of periodic reports for departmental performance.
  • Manage and deliver Technology Governance and performance-related assigned projects.
  • Conduct Information security awareness eLearning trainings and awareness sessions on specific Technology processes for all Technology staff.

Requirements

  • Strong leadership and organizational skills with the ability to formulate advice and suggest next steps.
  • Effective team lead, skilled in giving clear instructions and respecting the judgment of team members.
  • Strong understanding of customer management, with awareness of the roles and skills of other departments.
  • Self-awareness and the ability to seek help in areas of weakness.
  • Knowledge of financial management and effective risk management.
  • Capable of innovative problem-solving, understanding customer requirements and how their work fits in.
  • Familiarity with industry best practices and global accreditations like CGEIT, ITIL4 Expert, CISA, Cloud Security, CISSP, PMP, and Digital Transformation to enhance the company's IT Governance.
