Application Engineer

Ensure high availability, security, and high performance of banking applications by managing monitoring, maintenance, performance optimization, and vendor coordination. The role requires strong expertise in card-processing platforms such as the company, 4-Way (Four-Party Model), or TSYS PRIME, which are critical to supporting card issuance, acquiring, and payment workflows.

Core Responsibilities:

• Monitor and maintain banking applications, ensuring stable front-end and back-end performance.
• Coordinate with vendors (including card-platform vendors such as the company / PRIME) for issue resolution, upgrades, and enhancements.
• Implement Business As Usual (BAU) and emergency changes following Change Management and Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC) procedures.
• Apply Information Security controls, manage security patches, and track application performance metrics.
• Analyze application behavior, identify root causes of incidents, and drive performance improvements.
• Support new product launches by working with Business, Product, and Risk teams to define technical requirements and deliver solutions.
• Manage vendor relationships, review deliverables, and ensure Service Level Agreement (SLA) adherence.

Primary Technical Qualifications:

• Hands-on experience with card-processing or payment platforms such as the company, 4-Way architecture, or TSYS PRIME (issuing/acquiring, transaction routing, settlement, dispute workflows).
• Strong understanding of payment flows, ISO8583 messaging, authorization, clearing, and settlement.
• Advanced knowledge of front-end and back-end programming (C++, JavaScript, Python, Ruby).
• Experience with code migration, configuration documentation, and performance monitoring tools.
• Strong troubleshooting and root-cause analysis capabilities across application and integration layers.
