Core Responsibilities:

Application Monitoring & Maintenance
- Provide L2/L3 application support in coordination with vendors.
- Ensure smooth front-end and back-end functionality.
- Implement BAU and emergency changes per Change Management procedures.
- Track performance metrics, document processes, and manage software upgrades/licensing.
- Apply InfoSec and regulatory controls; ensure timely security patching.
- Deploy monitoring tools to track application health and performance.

Application Performance Improvement
- Analyze application behavior and recommend enhancements.
- Collaborate with vendors and business teams to optimize performance.
- Identify root causes of incidents and ensure timely closure within SLAs.
- Develop test plans and lead performance testing and fixes.

Application Development for New Product Launches
- Coordinate with vendors on new application development based on business requirements.
- Work with Business, Product, and Risk teams to define technical needs.
- Ensure Change Requests (CRs) follow Change Management and SDLC processes.
- Support development, testing, and deployment activities.

Application Vendor Management
- Manage vendor relationships, scope services, and review deliverables.
- Support vendor performance evaluations and SLA adherence.
Key Performance Indicators (KPIs):
- High application uptime and performance metrics.
- Compliance with change management and incident management procedures.
- SLA adherence and effective vendor performance.
- On-time, on-budget delivery of new developments.
- Reduction in application errors and faster incident closure.
Role Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, IT, Software Engineering, or a related field.
- 4–6 years of experience in Application Engineering.
- Strong collaboration and communication skills.
- Advanced knowledge of front-end and back-end programming (C++, JavaScript, Python, Ruby).
- Skilled in code migration, configuration documentation, and performance monitoring.
- Strong troubleshooting and root-cause analysis capabilities.
- Ability to multitask, manage deadlines, and adapt to innovation.
