About the Job:
The Application Engineer will assist sales representatives and customers by identifying the best solutions for their applications, offering and selling comprehensive product solutions from the Appleton portfolio. This role involves providing both commercial and technical support to customers while striving to deliver the highest standards of customer service, in collaboration with peers, outside sales, and business managers. The Application Engineer will be based at Emerson FZE in Dubai and will handle key customers in the MEA region.

Key Responsibilities:
- Provide Applications Engineering, Technical, and Pricing Support to MEA customers, including technical presentations and budgetary offers, as well as site surveys if needed.
- Respond to Requests for Quotes (RFQs) by understanding customer and project requirements, and generating IEC and NEC ETO quotes per client specifications.
- Perform sizing and selection of Appleton products, and prepare customer quotations in a timely and technically accurate manner.
- Engage in direct customer technical calls and attend technical meetings as required.
- Coordinate with product and engineering teams for root cause analysis and propose solutions.
- Ensure orderly purchase orders that are in compliance with quotations before sharing with relevant teams for order entry.
- Liaise with customers post-order for support and documentation.
- Keep abreast of developments in products, industries, and market trends.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering.
- 3-5 years of experience in the industry, specifically with NEC & IEC standards for hazardous areas, including Junction Boxes, Control Stations, and Motor Starters.
- Proficient in reading/analyzing customer SLD/Schematic drawings according to NEC or IEC standards.
- Knowledgeable about switch gears and the selection of components for specific applications.
- Familiarity with MEA region clients' specifications and standards.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience in engineered-to-order product sizing and selection.
- Proficient in AutoCAD or 3D modeling software.
- Knowledge of classified areas and CompEx certification is a plus.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
Language Requirements:
- Proficiency in English is required.
