Vertiv is currently seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Application Engineering Senior Analyst to join our team in the United Arab Emirates. The position requires a self-driven individual who thrives in a technically driven team environment with minimal functional management. You will have the opportunity to work on electrical design related to Electrical Switchboard & Switchgear for both North American (UL) and European (IEC) markets.

Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with the Electrical design team and CAD in preparing detailed design drawings and documentation.
  • Conduct thorough reviews of tender information including specifications, single line diagrams, and quotations for compliance with customer requirements.
  • Review and create electrical design drawings, mentor junior team members, and lead the development of new practices within the design team.
  • Ensure product designs comply with relevant NEC and UL standards.
  • Engage with the Application Engineering team to create cost-effective designs that meet customer needs.
  • Develop customer prototype designs and support the quotation process.
  • Create software for control equipment and develop test scripts to validate functionality.
  • Represent Vertiv on NFPA (NEC) panels to influence electrical code in the USA and collaborate with purchasing and operations on component selection strategies.

Required Knowledge, Experience, Skills, and Abilities:

  • Proven experience in design engineering with a track record of managing multiple projects.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering.
  • Strong understanding of UL standards, including UL 1558, UL 891, UL 489, and UL 1066.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and strong communication abilities.
  • Adaptability in a fast-moving business environment and a proactive approach to teamwork.
