Responsibilities
- Investigate and coordinate the resolution of potential and actual application/service problems.
- Ensure that operational documentation for systems is current and fit for purpose.
- Advise on the correct and effective use of systems.
- Review application/system software updates and identify those that merit action.
- Utilize application/system management software and tools to collect logs and perform analyses.
- Carry out agreed application operational procedures, including application configuration, installation, and maintenance.
- Use application management tools to collect and report application performance statistics and error logs.
- Automate application tasks, processes, and deployments efficiently.
- Monitor the service components of the applications.
- Receive and respond to routine requests for support, investigating as per established procedures.
- Assist users with their issues and perform application administration tasks.
- Assist in the investigation and resolution of integrations with the application.
- Provide knowledge transfer and training to other application services engineers.
- Enforce and comply with all necessary controls and information security policies within departmental activities.
Qualifications
Preferred Qualifications:
- A tertiary-level qualification from an internationally recognized institution in computer science or a related field.
Years & Nature of Experience:
- 3 to 5 years of relevant experience demonstrating required competencies.
- Experience in project implementation.
- Ability to work self-sufficiently and manage small project responsibilities.
- Previous technical supervision of junior staff is preferred.
