About the Role
The Application Specialist will leverage their expertise in healthcare, business acumen, and the company's products to ensure successful contracting and implementation of these products in a standard and timely manner. This role will establish the specialist as a key nursing resource for customers, requiring a deep understanding of customer processes, assessment of solution fit, and timely advisory on the implementation of standard solutions. The Application Specialist will also advise customers on maximizing their benefits from the solution while minimizing specific customizations and liaising with various business areas accordingly. Staying current with product developments through the normal release cycle is essential. This position requires availability for customer site visits and may involve regular travel, with the possibility of spending up to 5 days away from home each week.

Responsibilities
- Become an expert nursing resource for customers.
- Assess customer processes and advise on best practices for implementing standard solutions.
- Provide guidance on maximizing benefits from the company's solutions.
- Collaborate with various areas of the business to ensure successful implementations.
- Keep up to date with product developments and updates.
- Travel to customer sites as required, which may include up to 5 days away from home each week.
Skills and Experience
Essential
- Excellent communication skills, with experience in conducting customer training, workshops, and presentations.
- Strong consultative skills with the ability to articulate and communicate ideas effectively.
- Experience interacting directly with customers, including clinicians, and delivering impactful messaging.
- At least 3 years of experience in the healthcare sector, with a solid understanding of clinical processes.
- Familiarity with EMR systems and understanding of Hospital Information, Patient Administration Systems (PAS), and Clinical Information Systems.
- Prior experience in a nursing role within a hospital environment.
- Proven ability to contribute to a multi-disciplinary team.
- Experience in writing functional documents and business process mapping.
- Knowledge of Information Systems.
Desirable
- Experience in communicating with key stakeholders at various levels within healthcare organizations, including government/public and private sector businesses.
- Background in implementing software solutions.
- Exposure to IT services in a customer-facing context.
- Previous roles as an Application or Configuration Specialist.
- Experience in change management processes.
- Proficient computer skills, including experience in software testing.
Education & Training
- University degree in Nursing (with ICU, oncology, and maternity experience).
- Relevant clinical specialty.
- Proficiency in English.
