We are seeking an experienced Application Support Analyst to join our team in Abu Dhabi. This role will provide technical support for the Oracle Primavera P6 application (and/or Ecosys), addressing technical issues reported by end-users, overseeing database management, facilitating migration to new versions, and ensuring smooth integration.
Responsibilities:
- Analyze and resolve incidents or issues related to Oracle Primavera P6, raised by users globally.
- Liaise with Oracle Support as needed to resolve P6-related issues.
- Assist in the conversion of the Primavera P6 database from Oracle to SQL Server.
- Ensure data integrity and functionality while converting P6 EPPM to P6 Pro.
- Participate in the migration of P6 to the latest version (22.12.12) at a different data center, adhering to established procedures.
- Document lessons learned from Oracle Primavera P6 issues and store them in repositories.
- Research and understand Oracle Primavera Cloud (OPC) for basic support and collaborate with the vendor for advanced issues.
- Troubleshoot and understand SQL Server database settings.
- Collaborate with infrastructure teams to create dedicated servers for P6 operations in designated data centers.
- Coordinate with the Primavera P6 Business Application Owner (BAO) and Application Owner to support technical requirements.
- Analyze performance issues in Primavera P6 and provide solutions.
- Maintain knowledge of Windows Server, SQL Server, and Oracle Database configurations.
- Install and deploy third-party tools as necessary.
- Manage and install Ecosys tool (from Hexagon) as a plus.
Required Skills:
- Minimum of 2 years experience in application support.
- Proven ability to analyze and resolve user-reported incidents and issues.
- Strong understanding of database management concepts, specifically with SQL Server and Oracle.
- Familiarity with Primavera P6 functionality and workflows is a plus.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for effective collaboration.
- Ability to quickly learn new technologies and adapt to changing environments.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Required Education:
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science.
Qualifications:
- 2+ years of work experience with Oracle Primavera.
- 2+ years of work experience with Microsoft SQL Server.
- 2+ years of work experience with Oracle Database.
