We are looking for a highly skilled Applied Scientist to join our company in Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates. In this role, you will design, create, and implement various Machine Learning and Computer Vision models for Smart Cities and IoT platforms. As a member of the Data Science R&D team, you will work closely with an agile team to ensure that AI use cases are implemented correctly. You will collaborate with the product manager to understand user requirements and translate them into Machine Learning models for developers and engineers.

Responsibilities
- Research, design, develop, implement, and optimize algorithms and software solutions to solve complex computer vision problems.
- Create code that is elegant and maintainable.
- Take accountability for solutions that are modular and testable, including building unit and regression testing to ensure code functionality.
- Work closely with software engineering and product development teams on technology selections and solutions.
- Debug, optimize, and enhance solutions to achieve pixel-perfect results.
- Comply with QHSE (Quality Health Safety and Environment), Business Continuity, Information Security, Privacy, Risk, Compliance Management, and Governance of Organizations policies, procedures, plans, and related risk assessments.
Qualifications
- Bachelor degree in Computer Science, Applied Mathematics, or other Engineering disciplines in related fields or equivalent work experience.
Experience
- 5+ years of professional R&D experience in Computer Vision, Digital Image Processing, and/or Machine Learning.
Skills
- Experience in training and evaluating models using TensorFlow and PyTorch.
- Experience with training large-scale systems on large data sets.
- Fluent in C/C++ and Python with over 4 years of experience.
- Track record of shipping working code and solutions based on your contributions.
- Team player with the ability to perform in cross-functional teams and share knowledge with others.
- Good communication skills in English.
