Architect - Network and Security (Core42)

Job Overview:
As an Architect - Network and Security, you will be responsible for designing and implementing network and security infrastructures across various environments including Data Centre, On-Prem, Campus, and Public Cloud, with a primary focus on Azure Cloud. This role requires expertise in technical solution proposals, as well as comprehensive experience in integrating, migrating, and deploying Network Security solutions.

Responsibilities:

• Design and implement various data center networking technologies, including spine & leaf topology with Cisco ACI and VMware NSX-T.
• Design and implement Core and Perimeter firewalls from various technology providers (Cisco, Palo-Alto, Fortinet, Juniper) for on-prem and public cloud environments, focusing on Azure Cloud.
• Implement Network and Security environments on public clouds, particularly Azure, including Landing-Zone and relevant components.
• Migrate on-prem infrastructure to public/private cloud environments.
• Establish connectivity solutions including Azure ExpressRoute, Virtual WAN, and VPN for hybrid cloud environments.
• Conduct regular security assessments and vulnerability scans of Azure resources in alignment with Azure Well Architected framework.
• Implement Azure Security Center, Azure Sentinel, and other monitoring tools.
• Develop and maintain disaster recovery and business continuity plans for Azure systems.
• Remain updated on the latest Azure networking and security features and best practices.
• Collaborate with Pre-Sales teams, project scope management, and project deliverables preparation.

Qualifications:

• Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent in Computer Science or a related Engineering field.
  • Azure Security Engineer (AZ-500) certification (preferred), with credentials like AZ-700 (Designing and Implementing Microsoft Azure Networking Solutions) (preferred) and Designing Microsoft Azure Infrastructure Solutions (AZ-305) certification (required).
  • Experience of at least 13+ years in the Network Security field, with at least 2+ years in an Architect role.

• Required Skills:

  • Strong experience with designing and implementing Cloud environments and security best practices.
  • Proficiency with documentation, including High Level Design (HLD) and Low-Level Design (LLD) documents.
  • Familiarity with compliance standards such as HIPAA, PCI-DSS, and ISO 27001.

• Preferred Qualifications:

  • Familiarity with Infrastructure Automation tools (Terraform, Ansible).
  • Knowledge of containerization technologies (Docker, Kubernetes).
  • Certifications such as CISSP, CCSP, or related security credentials are desirable.
