Area Manager

When you join the company as an Area Manager, you’ll gain experience leading a large and diverse team to make sure your area of the business keeps pace with demand. In this hands-on role, you’ll learn about the complexity of operations at a global business and what it takes to make everything run seamlessly. While you implement your team’s approach to drive productivity, you’ll also work closely with your colleagues to address challenges, which means no two days will be the same.

Key Responsibilities

• Promote a culture of safety and wellbeing
• Analyse and implement corrective actions to ensure quality and productivity are consistently high, and business objectives are met across all shifts
• Support, lead and develop a team of managers, supervisors, and associates; handle administrative work while building and supporting a strong team culture
• Analyse performance and lead process improvements to optimise quality, productivity, associate experience, and cost
• Collaborate with other managers to standardise shift processes

Work Conditions
You’ll work during the day and occasionally in shifts, based at one of our operational sites. You will ensure all expected shift mechanisms and metrics are under control, establishing interventions while fostering safety across operations. You will achieve this through developing your team, providing regular coaching and supporting their growth, together with ensuring optimum labor planning. You will manage escalations and require fast intervention to fix gaps. You will also take part in medium-term projects within the site or beyond your immediate area of ownership, discussing operational improvements with engineers and collaborating with colleagues in other teams and external partners to meet customer demands and targets.
